I’m writing about the Democratic primary for Senate District 41. My wife, Lorna, and I live in the North Valley and we’ll be voting in the Democratic primary.
This race is an open seat and rare opportunity. There are two good candidates and either one will likely be a reliable vote for progressive policy. But I believe one candidate, Erin Farris-Olsen, will give us far more than a good vote. Lorna and I are supporting Erin.
Erin is effective, educated, articulate, and loyal to progressive policies that help people, not to any rigid right-or-left ideology. That is exactly what we need right now.
Change takes time and Erin is built for the long haul. She’s a young lawyer, a mom, and a former Carroll College debater who can represent us with skill, energy, and a steady commitment to civil governance.
Erin will advocate for us in the hallways, committees, and on the Senate floor in a way few can. Just as important, her feet are planted firmly in SD 41. Erin and her family live here. She knows her neighbors.
I think we have a chance to elect greatness in this primary and I hope we grab it.
